Bio
I am Anthony Alvarado. I'm a student. I'm not an art major, but I'd like to think I’m still an artist. I have worked on and completed a number of different projects in different styles for various art classes. One of the first projects I worked on was a sculpture of my guinea pig made out of clay. My favorite project I’ve worked on was making a movie trailer parody. I stitched together a number of clips I made to create a quick 1:30 trailer for a fake movie. I like digital art because it allows me to create more imaginative pieces.
Art Statement
I think the most important thing about an artist is why they create their work. My goal is to make people smile and laugh. When I am creating something, I think about whether my friends would find it funny or not. That’s the main influence behind all my work. Before I start creating, I spend a lot of time brainstorming ideas while doing other things, like studying or working, and I usually come up with ideas based on those experiences or by remembering something I saw before. Once I have an idea, I start putting it into practice in whatever medium I’m using, and slowly my ideas become reality. While I’m working, I like to look at what other people have done in the same field to help bring my idea to life. When I finish, I usually show my work to my friends to get their feedback and see what I might need to change, and after that, I have my completed piece.
